Job Title: DC Night Shift Team Leader

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Hours: Sunday - Thursday - 8pm - 4am

Pay: £29,000 per year - £4,100 per year shift allowance

A Warehouse Team leader is responsible for overseeing daily Warehouse operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Strong communication and Leadership and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Skills Required:

  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Picking and packing goods
  • Ensure a safe working environment as required by the health and safety policy within the company
  • Providing cover for the night shift supervisors or the night shift administrator In the event of their absence
  • Receipt and put away of stock
  • Prioritise the building and creating of picking plans
  • Reach / counterbalance license required

Responsibility Required:

  • Promote and adhere to health and safety requirements
  • Reporting faults and damages
  • Housekeeping duties
  • Lead and train a team of operatives to ensure they pick orders accurately and promptly
  • Assist night shift management to prioritize workload
  • Assure the team are checking in and out of MHE equipment prior to usw
  • Monitor performance of operatives and retrain if / when needed
  • Monitoring attendance, property damage, picking accuracy, pick rates and RIDDOR accidents
