We are seeking a Buyer/Procurement Executive to join our team, focusing on managing a portfolio of suppliers for both strategic and non-strategic packaging and raw materials. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing site in North Wales and maintaining optimal stock levels to meet demand.
Day-to-day of the role:- Source and manage suppliers for packaging and raw materials, ensuring competitive costs and quality standards.
- Manage stock levels of finished goods produced by the factory to meet company guidelines.
- Participate in demand planning and production planning to optimize stock and meet demand within stockholding parameters.
- Maintain and update all relevant records, systems, and contracts.
- Monitor suppliers' performance and take necessary actions to meet agreed targets.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations to provide clear information on product availability.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external product safety requirements.
- A degree in business or a technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in FMCG buying or supply chain, preferably within the food manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
- CIPS or part CIPS qualification is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
