Our client are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems across various commercial premises, including schools, council buildings, and offices. The location for the role will be in and around the Welwyn Garden City area.
Fire Alarm Engineer Position Overview
- Install, test, and commission fire alarm systems in accordance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal operation and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults, providing efficient and effective solutions to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide expert advice on fire safety and system upgrades.
- Prepare detailed reports on work completed, including any recommendations for improvements or additional work required.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality, adhering to all relevant health and safety guidelines.
Fire Alarm Engineer Position Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer, with a focus on commercial premises.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, including addressable and conventional systems.
- Familiarity with fire safety standards, codes, and regulations.
- Experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining fire alarm systems in schools, offices, and council buildings is preferred.
- Full UK driving license is required.
