Job Overview

The Stock Controller is responsible for managing and optimizing stock levels across all depots, ensuring efficient stock movement, and maintaining high service levels. This role involves daily ordering, planning stock requirements, and liaising with suppliers and depots to confirm deliveries. The Stock Controller will utilize Relex software for accurate order planning and aim to maintain a minimum On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery rate of 95%.

This position is for a Monday to Friday role. The hours are 0830am-1700pm.

The rate of pay is 13.22.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Ordering: Ensure timely and accurate ordering for all depots to meet operational demands.
  • Stock Movement Planning: Analyze and plan stock movements based on depot requirements and forecasted needs.
  • Purchase Orders: Place purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
  • Direct Orders: Raise and manage direct orders as required by the business.
  • Delivery Coordination: Confirm delivery dates with suppliers and schedule delivery times with depots to ensure smooth operations.
  • Inventory Management: Implement strategies to reduce unused stock levels and optimize inventory.
  • Performance Management: Manage daily On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance, striving to achieve a minimum of 95%.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in using Relex or similar supply chain planning software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in supply chain management or logistics.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory optimization techniques.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
