Position: Fabricator/ Welder

Location: Hertfordshire
Role: Full time, 40 hour week, permanent position
Essential Site Solutions are looking for a Fabricator/ Welder to join our specialised glazing client to join them on a permanent basis.
Duties for the Fabricator/ Welder:
- Read and interpret drawings
- Measure, cut, and shape metal components using various tools and equipment
- Assemble fabricated parts to create finished products or structures
- Weld components together using various welding techniques such as MIG or TIG
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications and standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills for the Fabricator/ Welder:
- Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Strong ability to read technical drawings
- Knowledge of various types and grades of materials
- Experience in metal fabrication and welding techniques
- Ability to operate fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, drills, and welding machines
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Must have MIG/ TIG experience with various materials
- The role is predominantly galvanised steel but there is stainless steel and brass on some projects
About the role for the Fabricator/ Welder:
- Starting rate advertised is based on a 40 hour week
- Hours are Monday to Thursday 8-5 then Friday is a 3.30pm
- Overtime is paid at x1.5 after 40 hours.
- 23 days holiday
