Management Accountant

My client is  seeking a proactive and versatile Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role is not only pivotal in managing the company’s accounts but also offers the opportunity to engage in accounts receivable and payable. The successful candidate will be responsible for payroll, VAT returns, year-end duties, financial analysis, and system integration. As a key member of the team, you will be trained comprehensively to become the deputy to the Finance Manager/ Controller, ready to step in and cover all areas of the business when required.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Oversee and manage daily accounting tasks including accounts receivable and payable as needed.
  • Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time.
  • Conduct VAT returns and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
  • Assist with year-end duties and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
  • Perform financial analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Lead and manage system integration projects to improve financial processes.
  • Act as the deputy to the Finance Manager, including covering in their absence and receiving training across all business areas.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role.
  • Qualified/PQ or QBE
  • Experience using Xero/ Quickbooks
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Competency in accounting software and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team.
