We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Morning Bakerto take our bread and baked goods production to the next level. Based in our purpose-built bakery, this key role will involve preparing a variety of bread items along with traybakes, cookies, brownies and similar items for our in-house restaurants and our Farmshop. We are known locally for our outstanding Sourdough bread, so Sourdough knowledge would be an advantage.
Main duties & responsibilities:
Planning, ordering and preparing breads, baked goods and traybakes.
Shaping our overall bread and bakery offering and working with the senior chef team to create new and exciting baked goods utilising local, seasonal ingredients.
Extending and improving our current range, with special emphasis on gluten free and free from items.
Essential criteria:
Previous experience in a similar environment is essential, this could be in the retail/restaurant/contract catering environments.
A great knowledge of Viennoiserie, Sourdough baking and some elements of patisserie would be an advantage.
Someone who is creative in their work you must enjoy being a hands-on.
Someone who is highly organised and a natural communicator with high standards. A people person who enjoys positively impacting on the people you interact with both customers and other team members.
Someone who can be part of a team that works hard, supports each other, and has fun along the way.
