Commercial Gas / Heating Engineer
45k Basic Salary (negotiable and depending on experience) + Company Van + Pension + Benefits
Location - Hertfordshire / Bedfordshire
Alecto Recruitment Ltd are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join one of our clients, who are a leading and well-established provider of Mechanical, Electrical and Building Services and with over 20 years industry experience.
You'll need to live North Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire based, therefore commutable to areas such as Letchworth, Stevenage, Luton, Royston, Biggleswade, Hitchin, Sandy, Cambridge, Milton Keynes etc.
Job Summary:
- Working as a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer throughout Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
- Predominantly responsible for servicing and repair of gas fired boilers, air heaters, water heaters etc. and attending breakdowns.
- Working in commercial properties such as Schools, Courts, Warehouses, Offices, Care Homes etc.
- Although the main responsibility is on the service, breakdown and repair side, ideally you will have a good general awareness of plant rooms eg: pumps, control panels, pressurisation units.
- Be open to some minor plumbing works as and when required such as replacing taps, radiator installs, TMV servicing etc.
Key Skills Required:
- Hold relevant Commercial Gas Certificates such as, CDGA1, CIGA1, COCDN1, COCN1, CODNCO1, CORT1, ICAE1, ICPN1, TPCP1A.
- Along with ideally Domestic Gas CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1.
- You will need to have experience with diagnosing and repair of Commercial Gas Boiler Systems.
- LPG & Oil qualifications / experience are of use but not essential.
Package on offer:
- 45k Base Salary (potentially negotiable subject to experience)
- Company Van, for business use
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays plus your Birthday off
- Working hours Monday to Friday 8am-4pm (8hrs on site) plus 1 hour paid travel per day.
- Be part of a call out rota system which is 1 week in 6
