We have a new and exciting opportunity for an M&E Mechanical Engineer to join an established FM provider. You will be a part of a team of 7 engineers.
About the role of M&E Mechanical Technician
The role is based in a newly built data centre in Essex/Hertfordshire. The ideal candidate will live within a 25 mile radius to the site.
Responsibility for the role of M&E Mechanical Technician
- Fault find of infrastructure Equipment and Systems - Heating/cooling,power supply generators,UPS systems,control systems
- Reactive tasks
- Inspections and analysis
- Commissioning and Benchmarking
- Installation of New infrastructure Equipment
- Decommissioning of Retired infrastructure Equipment
- Power and Bonding of Server Racks
- Chemical Handling
- Updates to Maintenance Documentation
Requirements for the role of M&E Mechanical Technician
- HV/LV aware
- H&S certificate
- Qualification in building services mechanical and electrical engineering to a minimum of City & Guilds
- 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers registration
- A good working knowledge of building services trades - UPS, Diesel Generators, Plumbing, HVAC systems and Refrigeration
- Computer literate with good I.T. skills
- Knowledge and awareness of CAFM systems and their use
- Data centre knowledge
