A leading independent prep school are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable HR manager to head up their HR department and be responsible for all things compliance and HR. This is a full time role from September 2024.

The Head is looking for an HR specialist to undertake responsibility in all aspects of HR, including recruitment and retention, succession planning, employee relations, policy development, organisational change and performance management and CPD. The successful candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to relate well to people on all levels with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy. This role is busy and dynamic and will require someone who is highly organised and possesses excellent administrative skills, remains calm under pressure and can work to tight deadlines.

Requirements include: Relevant CIPD qualifications; relevant work experience in HR roles; excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent IT literacy including Microsoft Office; previous experience in the education sector is desirable; emotionally resilient and able to handle a busy and varied work load; good interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively and relate to people at all levels; self-starter with a high level of time management and planning skills
