Teaching Assistant

Exciting Long-Term Supply Opportunity for a Teaching Assistant /MSA in Key Stage 2 (Year 5). Welwyn.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a lovely Primary School - situated in Wewlyn, who are seeking a skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant (TA) and Midday Supervisor (MSA) to join their team from February half term until the end of the summer term 2025.

This is a long-term supply position for two roles within the school (Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisor). The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive, adaptable approach and a passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Skills: Strong English and Maths skills (assessment will be carried out to confirm suitability)
• Experience: Previous experience as a TA is essential
• Creativity: Ability to contribute innovative ideas to the classroom
• Behaviour Management: Proven skills in managing behaviour effectively
• Flexibility: Prepared to cover the class in the teacher's absence and support other areas in emergencies
• Checks: Full DBS clearance and a UK National Insurance number
• Location: Able to commute to Welwyn

Position Details

Start Date: Monday, 24th February 2025
End Date: Wednesday, 23rd July 2025
Role Details:

• Qualified Teaching Assistant: 21 hours and 15 minutes per week
• Midday Supervisor: 5 hours per week
• Total Weekly Hours: 26 hours and 15 minutes
• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Curriculum Area: Key Stage 2, supporting a Year 5 class
• Location: Welwyn
