Shifts: Double Days

Package: £50,000 + 10% Bonus + £1000 Safety Bonus

ATA Recruitment are proud to be working with a industry leading client in production of lead from recycled sources, operating across 3 various sites in the UK and having sites across Europe, America and South Africa as well. Financially providing security and longevity with the security of working for a global company allowing you to be able to focus on your role and helping the company grow. My client currently pride themselves in providing the best quality products and developing the business at a sustainable rate.

At their site in Welwyn Garden City they have recently have a fair few million pounds invested in updating their site so it can run as efficiently as possible. They are currently in the middle of looking at investing a further million pound to help the growth further – The site are always looking to grow using CI so they can upgrade via projects and continuously improve efficiently so there is a fair amount of opportunity to get your teeth stuck into. With this role you will be working on rolling Mills, Saw lines, Gas Burners, Separators, Filtration Systems

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be:

  • Joining the electrical team and working as part of the team with various engineers, a team leader and an apprentice
  • On a daily basis you will be electrically fault finding, working with components such as: inverters, sensors, relays and three phase motors
  • Reacting to electrical breakdowns as well as working along a PPM schedule to pro actively keep the site manufacturing they're product
  • Ability to fault find and Interrogate PLCs
  • The potential to step up into a team leader role and get involved with the projects and continuous improvement to be able to grow the site and keep it advancing and progressing

The Candidate

In a Maintenance Engineer I am looking for:

  • An engineer with an established electrical qualification
  • Happy working as part of a team but when needed be able to work independently
  • Confident fault finding electrically and working on three phase motors
  • A quick learner who can adapt and get along with team members and potentially show the capability to step up to a Team Leader

The Package

As a Maintenance Engineer you will receive:

  • An Annual salary of £50,000
  • Potential to earn easily £55,000 including bonuses and safety bonuses
  • Double Day shifts working 0600 – 1430 and 1300 – 2130
  • Opportunities to progress within the next 6-12 months
