The Role:

Hertfordshire Community Trust are seeking a passionate Band 6 or Band 7 NeurologicalOccupational Therapist to bring their expertise to its well established and supportive multi-disciplinary therapy team. Working on a long-term contract, you’ll thrive on finding strategies to meet a range of patient specific needs and goals, whilst providing exceptional care that supports our mature patients on their journey to greater independence.

Would also consider candidates with strong stroke/neuro experience.

What you can add:

  • To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of work, including clinical practice, and for the work and clinical practice of line-managed staff.
  • To maintain a high standard of clinical care within own professional practice and of the team as a whole.
  • To autonomously undertake the comprehensive specialist assessment of patients, including those with a complex presentation, using investigative and analytical skills using standardised assessments where applicable.
  • To assess and manage clinical risk within own and the ABI team’s case load.
  • To design and implement clinically-reasoned and highly specialist intervention plans, developing and documenting patient centred goals to address occupational performance and skill deficits.

What you will need:

  • Occupational Therapy degree qualification or equivalent & NHS experience
  • Registration with the Health Care Professions Council
  • Be HCPC registered
  • Previous NHS experience is preferred but not essential
  • Full, UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of:

  • Relevant Qualifications
  • Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
