What will I be doing?
You'll be stepping into a varied and dynamic Planning Consultant role, working on rural and urban projects that keep things interesting. Whether it's rural business diversification, agricultural and equestrian developments, residential planning applications, or listed building and conservation work, there's no shortage of exciting challenges. You'll advise clients across commercial, leisure, and tourism sectors, helping them navigate planning regulations and unlock opportunities. There's already an existing book of work ready for you, but if you have a knack for generating new business, even better!
What do I need?
We're looking for someone with a degree in a relevant discipline and either MRTPI or MRICS (Planning & Development) accreditation. At least two years of planning experience - whether in the public or private sector - is a must. You should be a strong communicator, problem solver, and lateral thinker with the ability to manage projects independently. Commercial awareness is key, as is the ability to translate complex information clearly to a variety of audiences. If you're highly organised, detail-focused, and IT literate, you'll thrive in this role. Oh, and a full UK driving licence is essential!
Who for?
This opportunity is with a respected regional consultancy, known for its commitment to professional development and expertise in rural planning. You'll be joining a well-established, forward-thinking team, working on a diverse range of projects and making a real impact in shaping land use and development.
What's next?
If you're ready to take on a dynamic planning role with plenty of variety, my client is keen to hear from you! Please reach out to me, Max Johnson, to find out more.
