gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Quality Control Inspector to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden City

Performance Objectives

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical sheets.
  • Carry out dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
  • Proficient in the use of handheld measuring devices including callipers, gauges, micrometres etc.
  • Work to set daily targets.
  • Record non-conformances in a descriptive manner.
  • Signing C of C (training provided)
  • Completing first off and final inspection

Person Specification

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an aerospace inspection environment
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings & specifications
  • Use of handheld measuring equipment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of inspection processes and methodologies
  • Knowledge of CMM
  • Experience of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
  • PC literate with at immediate skills Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 - 50 lbs frequently.
  • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
