About the role of Buyer
Your role as Buyer will be to work as work as part of a team reporting to the procurement manager, materials buying purchases for the live projects including education, leisure, industrial and health care. You will also manage subcontract buying and experience in this is essential.
Requirements for Buyer:
The ideal candidate is someone who is a motivated and looking to progress their own career and comes from a main contractor, construction background with experience in Materials and subcontract buying.
- Be able to investigate new potential suppliers to strengthen the supply chain.
- Be able to understand construction drawings and components..
- Sourcing, negotiating purchasing materials & plant
- Understanding of project contractual requirements and ensure these are relayed to suppliers and sub-contractors as required
