We are currently alongside our client, a privately owned housebuilder who specialise in building beautiful bespoke homes across the Northern Home Counties.
The opportunity is for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who will be office based in Hertfordshire.
Duties will include-
- General surveying duties including procurement for multiple live sites. Attendance of fortnightly site-based project meetings, and the setup and lead of subcontract pre-start meetings.
- Ensure all subcontractor health and safety paperwork is checked, compliant and up to date
- Material scheduling and procurement from contract inception, production of bills if required.
- Work to achieve best value, and build successful long-term relationships with new and existing suppliers and subcontractors.
- Responsibility for all development cost and spending for materials, prelims, stats and subcontractors
This is an excellent opportunity for a Trainee looking for the next step up or alternatively an experienced Assistant looking to further their career. Our client can offer excellent support in the form of funding degrees or accommodating day release.
Ideally candidates would have experience working for a UK housebuilder and be familiar with the above duties.
