About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing costs and ensuring financial success of projects at a Main Contractor based in Hertfordshire. You will be working across a range of projects and sectors including education, health care, commercial, leisure and residential. This opportunity gives you a chance to increase your exposure in the construction industry and expand your experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
Key Responsibilities for Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
- Looking after subcontractor payments and managing the full downstream process
- Assisting in preparing and monitoring cost estimations
- Support the preparation of tenders and bids
- Helping with the administration of contracts
Key Requirements for Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying
- 2+ years experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at a Main Contractor
- Ability to analyse data, have a high level of attention to detail, and strong IT skills
- Knowledge of JCT contracts
