About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be the commercial lead of refurbishment projects valued at 10m - 15m working between the office, based in St Albans, and site. The projects you will be leading are spread across a range of sectors such as colleges, universities, heritage, leisure and places of worship. You will play a crucial role in managing costs, ensuring profitability and overseeing all financial aspects.
Key Responsibilities of Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Handling both the upstream and downstream process
- Regularly updating the financial forecast, identifying any potential risks and providing solutions
- Monitor costs throughout the projects life-cycle to ensure it stays within budget
- Solve any contractual disputes that arise during the project
Key Requirements of Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- 5+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying with a Main Contractor
- Familiarity with JCT contracts
- Strong knowledge of cost management software
- Live within commutable distance to St Albans
