Role Description: As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the financial and contractual management of our key infrastructure projects. You will lead a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring cost control, procurement, and subcontractor relationships are managed effectively. This role offers a mix of office-based and hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cost control, procurement, and subcontractor relationships.
  • Prepare and review contracts and tenders.
  • Ensure compliance with all commercial processes and procedures.
  • Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasts.
  • Support the project team in achieving key milestones and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors.
  • Assist the Commercial Manager with additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on large infrastructure, civil engineering, or utilities projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including NEC and JCT.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
