Role Purpose:
Lead the Housing Asset Management Team in achieving the Smarter Housing Plan and Repairs Policies. Oversee repairs and maintenance inspections, provide technical advice, and ensure contractor performance. Manage tenanted and void properties to meet standards of time, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of building legislation, health and safety regulations, and repairs contracts management.
- Contract Management: Experience in writing repairs specifications and ensuring value for money, quality, and service delivery.
- Communication: Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Problem-Solving: Creative solutions to customer requests and contractor management.
- Professional Qualifications: HNC/HND level in building surveying with continuing professional development.
Desirable Attributes:
- Innovative Practices: Experience in efficient, value-for-money working practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Knowledge of housing issues at all levels, particularly housing investment.
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility: Available for out-of-hours emergencies and evening meetings.
