A respected primary school in Brent, known for its deep community ties and reputation as a school of choice, is seeking an experienced and dynamic School Business Manager to oversee its non-teaching operations. This critical role is central to the school’s ongoing success and offers the opportunity to work closely with the Headteacher as part of the Senior Leadership Team.Supported by a dedicated team of support staff, the School Business Manager will ensure the smooth running of the school’s operational functions while contributing to its strategic goals.Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Lead the school’s finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Human Resources: Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to align resources with the school’s strategic objectives.
  • Staff Leadership: Manage the school office and other non-academic support staff, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Health and Safety: Take responsibility for the school’s health and safety compliance.
  • Premises Management: Lead the premises team, ensuring the school’s facilities are well-maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Governance Support: Provide organizational and management support to the Headteacher and Governing Body.
We are seeking candidates with prior experience as a School Business Manager, particularly those with strengths in budgeting and financial management. While formal qualifications are beneficial, they are not essential.The ideal candidate will bring:
