We are seeking a Maintenance Carpenter to join our property team, tasked with ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties' physical fabric.

Description

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repair works on properties
  • Identify and report potential major repair works
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Carry out all fabric duties such as carpentry, painting & decorating, replacing ceiling tiles and laying carpet tiles
  • Assist in the preparation of maintenance budgets
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required
  • To undertake PPM and reactive works to ensure that all jobs are completed
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the overall upkeep of properties

Profile

A successful Fabric Engineer should have:

  • Must hold a Fabric or Carpentry qualification to minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and be able to carry out general fabric repairs (doors and panels)
  • Will possess varied fabric skills, including fire doors checks/repairs, door panels/fire stopping repairs and shower accessory replacements
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment is desirable
  • Essential to have an understanding of Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work
