Our client is recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join a 2-bedded EBD children's service in Wembley. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a small, supportive team dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a small team of care staff to ensure high standards of care.
  • Ensure that the service operates in compliance with all relevant regulations, including Ofsted standards.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans to meet the needs of each young person.
  • Take a hands-on approach to the role, working directly with the children and young people.
  • Handle safeguarding concerns and risk management, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Shift Pattern:

  • Early shifts, late shifts, long days, and sleep-ins are required, providing flexibility to support the needs of the service.
  • Sleep-ins are paid at £70.50 per night.
  • Shifts will be given 1 month in advance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People or equivalent (Level 5 desirable).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
  • Passion for working with vulnerable children and creating positive outcomes.
  • Full UK driving license
