Our client, a well-respected national children’s charity, whose purpose is to transform the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable children, is looking for passionate Early Years Worker to join their team.

The role will include working within a family well-being centre, providing support to young children and their families.

Synopsis of duties:

· Working within the Family Well-Being Team, engaging with young children and their families through 1-1 support and through group activities

· Ensuring a safe, welcoming and supporting environment for children and their families

· Planning and delivering targeted intervention sessions

· Offering children fun play experiences, that are in line with Early Years Foundation Stage

· Being aware of any special needs a child may have (physical, social, etc.) and working alongside the parent and Senior Early Years Practitioner to plan appropriate activities to meet their individual needs

· Completing the Early help Assessment where necessary

· Understanding that child safeguarding is of upmost importance, sharing any child protection concerns if these arise with a more senior member of the centre’s staff

Essential Requirements:

· A Level 3 qualification in working with Children and Young People/Early Years

· Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage

· Experience working with children aged 0-5

· Experience or knowledge of working with children with SEN

· Awareness of the challenges that vulnerable children and their families face (eg. poverty, disability, etc)

· A good understanding of child development in order to help them achieve improved outcomes
