Job Title: Senior Design ManagerLocation: West LondonRate: £600 to £700 per day (Inside IR35)Contract: 12 MonthsWe are looking for a Senior Design Manager for a 12 month contract position in West London. The Senior Design Manager will quickly become an integral part of the site based team and tasked with the management and development of 6 Design Managers constructing 5 seperate buildings in West London as part of a much larger project.The Senior Design Manager will be leading the Stage 5 Design and responsible for leading and co-ordinating all design related activities. Some of the Senior Design Managers main duties will include:
- Working closely with the Design Managers and Design Assurance Coordinators throughout the Stage 5 design development process.
- Manage all design activities related to the construction and fit out of 5 projects including blockwork, fire-proofing, steelwork, doors, drainage, building services and more.
- Liaise with the design consultant, MEP teams, Engineering teams, Quality Assurance teams, Planners, Commercial teams and others
- Manage the stage 5 design process and report to the project lead, senior management and client as required
Senior Design Managers applying for this position will need:
- Previous managerial experience
- Experience in change control design management
- Strong reporting experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- NEC Contract knowledge
- Previous experience working in the fit out sector is crucial
- Experience in Stage 5 design and managing and coordinating specialist contractors will be an advantage.
This is a 12 month contract opportunity with a tier one main contractor. You'll be required on site 4 days a week and the rate is £600 to £700 per day (inside IR35). Call Matt Clegg at Gold Group if you'd like to find out more or email your CV .
