Description
- Collecting and interpreting data from multiple sources.
- Analysing results using statistical techniques and providing reports.
- Developing and implementing data collection systems and other strategies that optimise efficiency and data quality.
- Identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Working with management to prioritise business and information needs.
- Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities.
Profile
A successful Data Analyst should have:
- A degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Hive.
