The Data Analyst position is a critical role in the Accounting and Finance department, requiring the candidate to gather, process, and analyse data to help inform business decisions within the industrial/manufacturing industry.

Description

  • Collecting and interpreting data from multiple sources.
  • Analysing results using statistical techniques and providing reports.
  • Developing and implementing data collection systems and other strategies that optimise efficiency and data quality.
  • Identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Working with management to prioritise business and information needs.
  • Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities.

Profile

A successful Data Analyst should have:

  • A degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Hive.
