Job Title: Estimator / Senior Estimator

Company Overview: My client are a leading construction company, renowned for delivering high-quality building projects across various sectors, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure. With a growing portfolio, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team and play a critical role in supporting the continued success of their projects.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment.
• Review and analyse project specifications, drawings, and contracts to provide accurate and competitive estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop cost-effective solutions.
• Source and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and bid submissions.
• Monitor project budgets and provide regular cost reporting to ensure financial control.
• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings, as required.

• Ideally experience with Groundwork and Frames contractors
• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in using estimating software
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Relevant qualifications in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (desirable)
