About the role:
Behaviour Mentor in Secondary School based in Brent
The Behaviour Mentor will be required to have at least one year of experience working directly with young people with challenging behaviour in order to apply. A Behaviour Mentor is required to work in a school providing support to students from the ages of 11-16, both in the classroom and outside of the classroom, providing them with guidance and support. The opportunity is a great one for a bubbly and proactive Behaviour Mentor who is looking for a new challenge. You have the opportunity to work with students who suffer from ADHD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour in your role as a Behaviour Mentor. In order to meet the needs of your students, it is essential that you are able to handle situations that are complex as a behaviour mentor, due to the nature of their needs. It is likely that you will be conducting interventions outside of the classroom to meet the needs of students outside of the classroom as a behaviour mentor. An understanding of Team-Teach and the physical handling of children is a plus.
