Job Description: In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing services to our social housing tenants, ensuring their homes are safe, functional, and comfortable. Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing work related to the construction and repair of social housing units
- Perform routine and emergency plumbing repairs and maintenance for social housing properties
- Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot plumbing issues.
- Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures, including faucets, toilets, sinks, and pipes.
- Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals and tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a plumber, preferably in a social housing context.
- Must have experience in Part P / qualification in Part P
- Strong knowledge of plumbing techniques, tools, materials, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have a certification or diploma in plumbing.
- Experience working in social housing or a similar environment.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
