PAY: £90 - £110 per day

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our vibrant and dynamic Reception class at our mainstream, OFSTED OUTSTANDING, primary school in Brent. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for supporting students’ learning and development in a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide group support for students in Reception, both in class and during intervention sessions
  • Assist in the delivery of the curriculum by supporting students with their academic tasks, helping them to achieve their full potential
  • Support students with literacy, numeracy, and other core subjects, using differentiated strategies to meet individual learning needs
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high standards of conduct
  • Provide pastoral care, helping students with social and emotional development
  • Support students during breaks, lunch times, and extra-curricular activities, as required

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role for atleast a year. 
  • Knowledge of the curriculum and the ability to support students in literacy, numeracy, and other subjects
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • A passion for helping children succeed and ensuring that all students reach their full potential

Desirable:

  • Training in or knowledge of specific intervention programs or strategies for supporting students in reception. 
  • Familiarity with assessment strategies and tracking student progress
