Exciting Opportunity for a Pastoral Manager in Brent!

GSL Education is seeking compassionate and experienced Pastoral Managers to join dedicated schools in Brent. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting students' well-being, behaviour, and personal development.

 

Key Responsibilities as a Pastoral Manager:

  • Student Welfare & Well-being: Provide pastoral support, ensuring students feel safe, supported, and valued.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement effective strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement in school life.
  • Safeguarding & Child Protection: Work closely with the safeguarding team to ensure the safety and protection of all students.
  • Attendance & Engagement: Monitor student attendance and engagement, working with parents and staff to provide necessary interventions.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, external agencies, and families to support students' personal and academic progress.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support to students in emotional distress and implement strategies to help them cope.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Previous Pastoral Experience: Proven experience in a pastoral or student support role within an educational setting.
  • Strong Leadership & Communication Skills: Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding & Child Protection: Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Ability to Manage Behaviour: Experience working with students with behavioural or emotional needs.
  • Enhanced DBS Check: Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
