I am currently representing a Regional Main Contractor who are seeking to recruit a Void Supervisor/Manager to be based on a contract in Northwest London. My client specialises in social housing refurbishment projects, with a large presence across the London and the surrounding Home Counties. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of Void Works: Oversee all aspects of void property works, ensuring they are completed within agreed timescales, budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team Management: Supervise a team of tradespeople and subcontractors, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure efficient and effective completion of works.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the progress of works and ensure all properties meet required quality and safety standards before handover.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all works are carried out in line with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and ensuring safe working practices are followed.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, housing associations, and stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met, and any concerns or issues are promptly addressed.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of works completed, including timesheets, reports, and documentation, ensuring all paperwork is up to date and compliant with regulations.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or delays on site, ensuring that works are completed within agreed timelines and to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Monitor and manage budgets for voids works, ensuring that costs are controlled, and projects are delivered within the allocated budget.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in voids management within the social housing sector or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of social housing regulations, health and safety, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams and liaise with clients and stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple void projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Experience with relevant building trade disciplines (plumbing, carpentry, electrics, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Valid CSCS card (or equivalent) and relevant health and safety qualifications.
  • Full driving license.
  • Valid SMSTS and First Aid
