Job Title: Mechanical Shift Engineer (Days & Nights)

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical/Building Services Shift Engineer to join our team.
Shift Pattern:
You will be working as part of a 3-person shift team on a continental days and nights schedule (7 AM - 7 PM), with occasional support required during events. The shift pattern is 4 nights on, 4 off, followed by 4 days on, 4 off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all plant and BMS checks on time, reporting any issues to the Shift Lead or Supervisor.
- Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) according to set schedules, ensuring high engineering standards are met to maximize operational efficiency and reliability.
- Proactively engage in preventative maintenance and ensure good site husbandry.
- Adhere to engineering standards in line with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to mechanical aspects of PPM and plant.
- Respond promptly to Helpdesk requests related to heating, ventilation, and associated mechanical systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experienced Mechanical Technician with a strong background in building services (planned and reactive) within a commercial environment.
- NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Building Services or Mechanical discipline.
- Familiarity with electrical and HVAC plant-related building services PPMs, SFG20, and associated reactive work.
- Competent knowledge of Air Conditioning, Air Handling Units, Building Management Systems, Cooling Towers, Cold Water systems, Fan Coil Units, Heating and Ventilation systems, Water Treatment, and Emergency Generators.
- Legionella Awareness.
