Candidate RequirementsThe ideal candidate will:* Have experience teaching music to primary-aged pupils (QTS is welcomed but not essential)* Be confident in delivering engaging lessons that include singing, rhythm, percussion, listening, and basic music theory* Be comfortable leading class and group sessions, including singing assemblies and instrumental work where appropriate* Be supportive of the school's Catholic ethos and values* Possess strong classroom management skills and the ability to work independently* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and engage pupils* Be reliable, professional, and well-organised

Responsibilities* Teach music across the primary phase (EYFS-KS2) on Thursdays, following and enhancing the existing music curriculum* Foster a love of music in all pupils through creative, inclusive, and dynamic lessons* Plan and deliver lessons that support musical progression and enjoyment* Prepare pupils for musical performances, liturgical celebrations, and school events where applicable* Work collaboratively with staff to integrate music into wider school life and Catholic celebrations* Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
