Teach Plus are seeking an KS1/PPA Teacher to work within a friendly mainstream primary school within the Brent area. This school works hard and always aims to do their best to ensure staff and pupils are valued and reach to their full potential. This continues to be a good school rated by Ofsted where staff are given support in and out the classroom due to caring about staffs' mental health and wellbeing.

A KS1/PPA teacher plays a crucial role in primary education, typically working with children aged 5 to 7 years. You will need to monitor and access students' progress through different learning methods, providing feedback to help children improve and meet their learning goals. KS1/PPA Teachers will need to create a positive and safe learning environment, implementing effective behaviour management strategies.

As a KS1/PPA Teacher, you will be required to:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in core subjects and adapt learning styles to meet pupils' diverse needs.
  • Provide additional support for pupils with SEN or those who are struggling whilst ensuring an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Will need to have strong classroom management and behaviour management skills to support with challenging behaviours.
  • Work closely with other teachers and staff, especially during PPA times to share resources and strategies that benefit pupils learning.
  • Communication with parents and guardians regarding pupils' progress.

The ideal candidate for a KS1/PPA Teacher will have:

  • Experience teaching in KS1 and be flexible to cover in KS2.
  • QTS Qualification
  • Must be able to work full time
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Right to work within the UK
  • Overseas criminal clearance
