The Role:
As an English Teacher at Preston Manor High School, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the subject, have the ability to inspire students, and work collaboratively within a supportive team. You will be expected to plan and deliver lessons that cater to diverse learning needs, assess student progress, and contribute to the overall development of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to engage and motivate students.
- Set and mark assignments, provide constructive feedback, and track student progress.
- Support students with their learning and personal development.
- Contribute to the development of the English curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning environment.
Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum at KS3 and KS4.
- A passion for English and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
