Role Requirements:
- Pay: £30 - £35 per hour
- DBS on Update: Must have an up-to-date DBS check.
- Subjects: English
- Location: Brent and surrounding areas.

Experience &Skills:
- Prior experience in teaching or tutoring English (may vary based on the position).
- Experience with different age groups or learning levels (e.g., elementary, high school, or adult learners).
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
- Patience and a positive attitude to support student progress.
- Proficiency in grammar, literature, and writing.
This tutor role involves:
- planning lessons and resources around the student's needs. This could be in the core subjects or life skills;
- plan and deliver engaging sessions.
- apply skills to raise pupils' confidence.
- manage children with challenging behaviour.
- track the learning progress of the student to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide monthly reports.
- potentially engage in outdoor activities such as learning about plants and nature with the student,
- learn about visuals to communicate in some cases.
Responsibilities:
- Instruction:
- Plan and deliver lessons based on the student's needs and goals.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Assessment:
- Monitor and assess students' progress regularly.
- Provide feedback on assignments, tests, and speaking exercises.
- Customization:
- Tailor lessons to suit each student's individual learning style and pace.
- Prepare and adjust teaching materials accordingly.
- Student Support:
- Encourage students' motivation and confidence in using English.
- Provide assistance with homework, exam preparation, and project work.
- Communication:
- Regularly update parents, guardians, or supervisors on student progress.
- Provide constructive feedback and suggest improvement strategies.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on the latest teaching methods, tools, and resources.
- Participate in training or professional development opportunities as needed.
