Role Overview:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our vibrant team. This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to teach Science across Key Stage 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at A-Level. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality lessons that foster a love for Science and will actively contribute to the ongoing development of the Science curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:- Teaching: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-Level Science. The ability to teach across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics is essential.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Science curriculum to ensure it is engaging, challenging, and inclusive for all learners.
- Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Maintain accurate records of student achievement.
- Pastoral Care: Support the personal development of students, including providing guidance, mentoring, and welfare support as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues within the Science department and across the school to promote interdisciplinary learning and share best practices.
- Extracurricular Activities: Contribute to the development and delivery of extracurricular activities that support and extend students' learning, such as science clubs or trips.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to continually improve teaching practices.
- Qualifications:
- A degree in Science or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge across the core sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).
- Experience:
- Previous experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
- Experience of teaching A-Level Science is an advantage.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students.
