The RoleAs part of this Get into Teaching programme, you will:
- Work alongside experienced teachers across Key Stages 1 and 2, gaining practical insights into lesson planning, classroom management, and student engagement.
- Support students one-on-one and in small groups, helping them to build confidence in core subjects such as literacy and numeracy.
- Assist with lesson preparation, marking, and day-to-day classroom activities to fully experience the dynamics of a primary school setting.
- Receive mentoring and structured support as you work toward teacher training starting in September.
This is a full-time position, with working hours from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, designed to give you immersive experience and foundational skills for a successful teaching career.
Ideal Candidate ProfileWe are looking for a motivated, compassionate graduate who is:
- Eager to start a rewarding career in teaching, with a clear commitment to beginning teacher training in September.
- Enthusiastic about working with young children, especially across KS1 and KS2.
- Able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Adaptable and collaborative, with a proactive attitude towards supporting diverse student needs.
- Holding a university degree (all disciplines welcome, but education-related fields are advantageous).
