Job Title : Higher Level Teaching Assistant Location: Brent  Hours: Full Time (38.5 hours per week term time only) Salary: £25,940-£30,635 (£29580 - £34,935 FTE) We are currently seeking an HLTA to join a  a specialist primary school for children with social, emotional, and mental health needs abased in Brent.  The school are an independent school and will work closely with local authorities to ensure that they can provide exceptional provision to children who require intensive, high quality specialist support to make excellent progress. It is their belief and mission that every child can learn and enjoy a fulfilling school life, regardless of their social, emotional, and mental health needs. The role:You will support the work of the class teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. You will provide learning and behavioural support, working alongside teachers, therapists and parent to help the children access the curriculum, excel in thier learning and personal development. You will have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children, be resilient and experienced in working with children with SEMH needs. Knowledge and Qualifications:
  • HLTA qualification in primary/special School Setting 
  • GCSE pass in Maths and English
  • Specialist Skills/Training in Supporting students with SEN desirable 
  • Experience of covering and leading class teaching with appropriate support) 
  • Good understanding of school curriculum
