Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant up for a new challenge this Autumn in Wembley?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join this lovely, family feel primary schools' autism base in Brent . This is a full time, long-term role for the rest of the academic year.

The School:

The autism base is a base for pupils with autism, challenging behaviour, and the associated learning difficulties. The base is attached to a mainstream setting and is well equipped to provide the best education possible.

The base holds 2 classes which is split between KS1 and KS2 and has 12 children in each maximum. In the base the children are placed within this unit by the local authority through a referral process. Pupils are all aiming to progress and then integrate back into mainstream classes according to their individual levels of need.

As SEN Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for the following:

  • Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
  • Create a safe learning environment for all students
  • Keep records up to date and attend review meetings
  • Work cooperatively with teachers, TAs and other professional
