Teaching Assistant | Brent, HA9 | £95-£120 | Long-Term to Permanent | November 2024

LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a student in Year 8 at a supportive secondary school in Wembley, HA9. This role provides the opportunity to help a young learner achieve their academic and personal goals while fostering their engagement and independence within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer 1:1 support to a Year 8 student, focusing on academic assistance and engagement with the curriculum.
  • Provide targeted interventions, helping the student to develop effective learning and study skills.
  • Support social and emotional development by encouraging positive behaviors and peer interactions.
  • Collaborate with the subject teachers and SENCO to adapt learning strategies and monitor progress.
  • Create an inclusive, supportive environment that empowers the student to succeed independently.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally in a 1:1 or small-group setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with students at the secondary level.
