SEN Teaching Assistant wanted for an 'Outstanding' secondary PRU in Brent!

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a secondary PRU in Brent to appoint a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be working within the school's KS3/4 pupils.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting students with autism and a range of learning difficulties in cludeing aggresive and challenging behaviour, as well as a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with autism and a range of learning difficulties on a 1:1 basis
  • Implementing individualized support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student
  • Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities
  • Collaborating with teachers and other members of the support team to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • Monitoring and recording student progress and achievements

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with students with autism and a range of learning difficulties
  • Strong understanding of the needs of students with SEN and the ability to implement effective support strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A positive and proactive approach to supporting students and a passion for making a difference
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff

This is a full-time role, starting after the October half term and running until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity to go permanent. The daily rate for this position is £80 to £100.
