SEN Teacher - QTS (MUST)

Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious SEN Teacher needed to join an SEN School located inBrent to work on a long term basis (To go permanent) starting ASAP.

The school is a welcoming and inclusive school focused on supporting students with PMLD needs. What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN.
  • Create and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
  • Provide support for students with a variety of SEN, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and learning disabilities.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to deliver targeted support.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure students’ needs are being met.
  • Take part in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.About You:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a SEN Teacher, ideally within a primary or secondary school setting.
  • A solid understanding of a range of SEN and strategies to support students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
    • Excellent understanding of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, and other learning difficulties.
    • Strong knowledge of de-escalation techniques and behavior management strategies.
    • Ability to identify triggers and respond to challenging situations in a calm, proactive manner.
    • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of students, with a patient and empathetic approach.
    • Proactive mindset, able to think creatively and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and work effectively with a diverse team.
