We are seeking an exceptional SENDC0 (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to join our thriving Primary school community in Brent.

Position: Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo)

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of support staff, ensuring effective deployment and training.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEND, adapting support as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and school policies related to SEND.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and high expectations for all students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a minimum of three years' teaching experience.
  • National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to work towards it.
  • Proven track record of working with students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external partners.
  • A deep commitment to inclusive education and the well-being of all students.
