Speech & Language Teaching Assistant | Brent, NW2 | £95-£105 | Long-term to Perm | ASAP Start

Are you passionate about supporting children with ASD and Speech & Language needs? LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the support team at a fantastic primary school in Brent, NW2. This role focuses on assisting Reception-aged children with ASD and speech and language difficulties, helping them access learning and develop key communication and social skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive relationships with pupils to foster engagement and enjoyment in learning.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the child's development and well-being.
  • Implement tailored learning plans and strategies under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Support children in developing communication and social skills.
  • Monitor and record pupils' progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Assist with daily routines and ensure children's needs are met in a caring and supportive manner.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or relevant equivalent.
  • Previous experience supporting children with ASD and speech and language needs.
  • Knowledge of communication strategies and alternative communication systems.
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with young children.
