About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Damp and Mould Surveyor to join our team in the Social Housing sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our tenants by identifying, assessing, and managing damp and mould issues within our housing stock.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify damp and mould issues.
* Diagnose the causes of damp and mould and recommend appropriate remedial actions.
* Prepare detailed reports and action plans for the treatment and prevention of damp and mould.
* Liaise with tenants to explain findings and proposed solutions, ensuring clear communication and support.
* Work closely with maintenance teams and contractors to oversee the implementation of remedial works.
* Monitor and review the effectiveness of treatments and interventions.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and actions taken.
* Stay updated with the latest regulations, best practices, and technologies related to damp and mould management.
* Provide training and guidance to colleagues on damp and mould issues.


Qualifications and Experience:

* HNC or relevant degree
* Proven experience in diagnosing and managing damp and mould in residential properties.
* Strong knowledge of building construction and pathology.
* Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
* Valid driving license and own vehicle
