Receptionist - Public Sector
Location: HA9 0HP
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 3+ Months
Pay Rate: 12.60 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a friendly, professional, and efficient service to all visitors, clients, and staff.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries.
- Manage the reception area to ensure it remains welcoming and tidy.
- Schedule appointments and meetings, ensuring all relevant staff are informed.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and preparation of documents.
- Support other teams or departments with ad-hoc administrative duties as required.
- Ensure that all visitors sign in and out, following health and safety protocols.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Experience in a receptionist or customer-facing role (preferably within a public sector setting).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
- A positive, approachable attitude and professional presentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of basic office equipment and a willingness to learn new systems.
